The Mission of the Heart
of Texas Autism Network
is to empower
individuals, families and
communities touched by
ASD to inspire a higher
quality of life.

Together, we work to
improve the resources
that help people with

independently as
possible in our society.

There is no charge for
membership and no
dues. Meetings feature  
guest speakers, open
discussions and
fellowship.

Other activities and
programs promote
inclusion, independence
and participation in the
community for all people
affected by ASD.

Free qualified child care
is usally available,
children with autism
spectrum disorders and
their siblings.

volunteers to organize and
execute various programs,
activities and functions it
supports.  HOTAN needs
help with the annual Walk for
Autism and other
fundraisers, programs
(monthly meetings, supper
clubs and other
informational and social
events), community
relations, volunteer
coordination, and
communications (website,
newsletters and publicity).

Respite FAMILY Applications need to be filled out by all
families whose children attend a CSNN center-based respite
day. CSNN respite days are for children with special needs
and their siblings.  Families need to fill out CSNN forms (
Client
Information Form and Request for Support Form)  along with
a Respite Family Application.  If a family is interested in
center-based respite, call the CSNN office at 254-933-7597 to
begin the process.

The Arc of McLennan County has organized a group for
individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in
high school or recently transitioned out of school.
There is no fee to enroll, but application is mandatory,
to ensure that sufficient staff resources to meet the
needs of all participants is available.
In some instances, The Arc may determine they are
unable to provide the level of care a teen or young adult
requires, thus will be unable to accept that person
into the program.
