The Heart of Texas Autism Network  has been recognized by the IRS as a
501(c)(3) Non-Profit.

HOTAN is a group of families and professionals determined to increase resources and
opportunities in our community for people with autism.

Donations and proceeds of special events like the Waco Walk for Autism benefit
Heart of Texas Autism Network programs for local families and individuals living
with autism, as well as local programs that help those with autism. Past recipients of funds
include The Arc of McLennan County Summer Day Camp for Children with Disabilities, and
the Baylor Autism Resource Center.

The Heart of Texas
Autism Network  
works to  improve  
resources for people
with ASD in our
community, so they
can live, work and
participate as fully and
independently as
possible.  

There is no charge for
membership and no
dues. Monthly
meetings are held with
guest speakers, open
discussions and
fellowship.

Other activities and
programs promote
inclusion,
independence and
participation in the
community for all
people affected by
ASD.

Free qualified child
care is usually
available, with a
reservation, for
children with autism
spectrum disorders
and their siblings.

HOTAN seeks people
who speak Spanish to
help the parents of
ASD persons whose
primary language is
Spanish.

Those qualified and
able to help should

HOTAN is seeking
volunteers to organize
and execute various
programs, activities
and functions it
supports.  HOTAN
needs help with the
annual Walk for
Autism and other
fundraisers, programs
(monthly meetings,
supper clubs and
other informational
and social events),
community relations,
volunteer
coordination, and
communications
(website, newsletters
and publicity).

Creativity and
enthusiasm is needed!
